Application: MOLOIL® MDG is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry as an emulsifier, stabilizer, solubilizer and lubricating agent. It is incorporated into tablets, capsules, creams, ointments, lotions, suppositories and lipid-based drug delivery systems to improve formulation stability, texture, dispersion and performance. It is also used as a binder and processing aid in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

1 Appearance It occurs as a vary in consistency from yellow liquids, through ivory-colored plastics, to ivory, white-colored solids (bead or flake forms).
2 Solubility Soluble in alcohol, in ethyl acetate, in chloroform, and in other chlorinated hydrocarbons; insoluble in water.
3 Residue on Ignition Not more than 0.1%
4 Arsenic Not more than 3 μg/g
5 Limit of free Glycerin Not more than 7.0%
6 Acid Value Not more than 4
7 Hydroxyl Value 90.0%–110.0%
8 Iodine Value Not more than 10
9 Saponification Value 90.0%– 110.0%
10 Assay Not less than 90.0% and not more than 110.0%

PACKAGING

MOLOIL® MDG is packed in HDPE drum or IBC packing having bar-coded labels.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. Preserve in tight, light-resistant containers.
