Applications: MOLOIL® LLP is primarily used in the pharmaceutical industry as a lubricant in tablet and capsule manufacturing and as an active ingredient in oral laxatives/syrups. It is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry as a lubricant laxative, emollient, vehicle and ointment base. It is incorporated into creams, ointments, lotions, dermatological preparations, oral laxative formulations, ear drops and other pharmaceutical products.

SPECIFICATION

1 Appearance It occurs as a transparent, colourless, oily liquid, free from fluorescence by daylight.
2 Solubility Miscible with fixed and volatile oils. Soluble in chloroform and in ether; practically in soluble in water and in ethanol (95%).
3 Weight per ml 0,820 g to 0.880 g
4 Viscosity 25 mPa·s to 80 mPa·s.
5 Acidity or alkalinity The solution is colourless and not more than 0.1 ml of 0.1 M sodium hydroxide is required to change the colour of the solution, to pink.
6 Light absorption Specified test.
7 Readily carbonisable substances Specified test.
8 Solid paraffins Specified test.
9 Sulphur compounds The mixture remains colourless.

PACKAGING

MOLOIL® LLP is packed in HDPE drum or IBC packing having bar-coded labels.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. Preserve in light resistant, well-closed containers.
